Jack Connolly is a filmmaker, photographer, and sometimes actor from Carlsbad, California; focusing on spaces of liminality, and dreamscapes, his stories often center misguided, or lost characters, stumbling through their lives. His passions for film began very early, spending a lot of free time re-watching, Jurassic Park and Alien. This translated into a photography hobby as a tween, and into high school where he was a part of the CHS Film Academy, mixing film studies with English, and History. Post high school, he went to MiraCosta Community College in Oceanside, CA to begin his film degree, earning an Associates in Film & Television for transfer, as well as an Associates in Art. He then transferred to California Polytechnic University Humboldt, to finish his Bachelors in Film. While at Humboldt he wrote & directed two short films What You Know (2025, 4 Min),  and Far Away Eyes (2025, 9.5 Min).  In non directing roles he has worked as a cinematographer, audio recordist, and starred in several shorts.
